We are excited to have been awarded a $175,000 grant from the 18th annual Housing for Everyone grant program from TD Charitable Foundation, the charitable giving arm of TD Bank, America’s Most Convenient Bank®.

As the affordable housing crisis persists, the struggle to secure and maintain safe, affordable housing remains a daunting challenge for many across the U.S. As a 2024 Housing for Everyone grant recipient, NewCourtland is dedicated to addressing this pressing issue through its Housing with Supportive Services program that expands upon the evidence-base of housing first and intensive case management to serve the specific needs of older people who experience homelessness and complex medical conditions. “People aged 55-62 who experience homelessness are at high risk for health crises but are not eligible for most senior services,” said Ashley Ritter, APRN, PhD and the Director of Clinical Care Research at NewCourtland. “This permanent housing program provides community housing paired with health and social service coordination in an environment that will help participants maintain stability in the community with appropriate supportive programs and improves social connectedness.”

NewCourtland is honored to be one of the 37 non-profits awarded across the country. To see the other recipients, click here.

This grant from TD Charitable Foundation will help fund the supportive services staff of the Housing with Supportive Services program and allow for continuing education in complex care coordination.
